Installation – Genesis Eco Drain

INSTALLING GENESIS ECO DRAIN^TM

Genesis Eco Drain provides the ability to entirely remove the need for stone underneath synthetic turf and pavers. Our patented design now makes it possible to install turf and pavers in half the time with a savings of 25-30%. Genesis Eco Drain provides structural support along with vertical and horizontal drainage under synthetic turf and pavers at a rate of 165 gallons per minute.

ARTIFICIAL TURF INSTALLATION

Precisely grade and compact the sub base or base material to meet the Architect/Engineer specifications. The area should be both graded and well compacted prior to installation of Genesis Eco Drain™.

Install a composite nailer around the perimeter of the installation as needed to secure your artificial turf which will be installed later. Please take time to note the width of the nailer.

Roll out Genesis Eco Drain per the requirements of the install area. Genesis Eco Drain should be installed “Dimple Side Up” with the base of the Eco Drain facing down. Genesis Eco Drain System is designed to provide both vertical and horizontal drainage under synthetic turf and pavers.

When installing rolls together side-by-side, ensure the alternating flaps on the sides of Genesis Eco Drain are positioned “over-under” with one flap on the under adjacent roll and one flap on top of the opposite adjacent roll. Use 6in galvanized turf nails, or 6in turf staples to secure the adjacent rolls together.

Once Genesis Eco Drain installation is complete, install your artificial turf per manufacturer recommendations. Make sure to secure the artificial turf to your installed nailer using a heavy-duty construction staple or nail.

PAVER INSTALLATION

If required for your specific paver, install 1 inch of leveling sand making sure to level and compact the sand as required.

Once Genesis Eco Drain installation is complete, install your pavers per manufacturer recommendations.
